Hip Hop Star Explores The Aftermath Of Japan’s Earthquake Disaster [Video]

Palladium hires Pharrell Williams to star in Tokyo Rising, a short documentary on the aftermath of Japan's earthquake and tsunami disaster.

Multi-millionaire hip hop artist, Pharrell Williams, stars in a new documentary titled ‘Tokyo Rising.’ The film was made in partnership with Palladium, a boot manufacturer founded in France and currently based in Westlake Village, CA. The documentary explores the aftermath of the devastating tragedy that took place when an earthquake and tsunami hit Japan this past March. The documentary is part of a campaign by Palladium:

Tokyo faces a new reality after the tragedy of 3/11. While persistent challenges still lay ahead, the city’s creative class is hell-bent on making sure that their hometown thrives. Innovative and resilient, they are defining the future of Tokyo on their own terms. we put our boots on and went exploring.

The short, 30-minute documentary sees Pharrell touring Tokyo wearing Palladium boots and visiting various artists to discuss about the earthquake, how it has effected them and what it means to rebuild Japan. Watch the full version of Tokyo Rising below.
