A ‘mini-Venice’ is to be built across Olympic Park by IKEA.
Swedish-based retailer IKEA is planning to build on real-estate in Stratford, nearby the Olympic Park. The architectural and urban layout consists of some 12,000 apartment-homes for families, with a sprinkle of courtyards and public squares around the properties. They are also planning to build a school, a medical facility, and an illuminated wooden tower.
The underground plays an important role as all vehicles and garbage will be navigated through underground tunnels.
