Colorful Recycled Doors Transform A Bland Building Exterior [Gallery]

Korean artist decorates a mid-rise into a head-turning art work.

Choi Jeong-Hwa, an artist from South Korea, has transformed a boring 10-story building in Seoul into a head-turning art piece. 1000 salvaged doors decorate the exterior of the building and each one is brightly colored and differ in texture and frame.

The 1000 Doors project aims to change the way we view things through art. Jeong-Hwa explains that, “People think you can only find Korean Art in museums and galleries.” Jeong-Hwa is an advocate for producing art that can engage with the greater population. He likes using recycled materials to create interesting and unique art works.
