Volkswagen Singapore has marked the launch of its inaugural iPhone app, advertising its full range of vehicles in daily newspaper The Straits Times via an augmented reality print ad that let consumers explore model features and book a test drive with one touch.

Volkswagen Launches AR Print Ad For Exploring Their Models

Singapore’s first augmented reality newspaper ad featured on New Year’s Day, allowing readers to interact with the AR vehicles and access a mini showroom via their iOS devices. The VW SG app was developed by Tribal DDB Singapore and is available for download here. Jeff Cheong, head and executive creative director at Tribal DDB Singapore, said:

We look forward to using this application to enhance the overall showroom experience for Volkswagen. With technology and creativity, we believe the app will be able to serve as an ‘always on’ platform for customers to access Volkswagen.
