TweetAFlight turns the social network into an instant sales channel for airlines and travel companies.
TweetAFlight is an e-commerce solution developed by Steven Frischling of The Travel Strategist, a social media consulting firm for the airline, aerospace and travel industries. It aims to monetize social media followers by turning airline tweets into transactions and transforming the real-time reach of Twitter into an instant sales channel for airlines and travel companies.
TweetAFlight lets customers buy tickets via Twitter using Chirpify and PayPal. Once registered with both, they will simply need to reply to an airline’s TweetAFlight tweet with the command “buy” to make a purchase. Their data is then transmitted to the airline ticket system and the payment is instantly processed. Frischling hopes to launch TweetAFlight in the next few months.
