Gray water used to get clean could also be used to clean your clothes.

The Washit is a design concept that combines a shower stall with a washing machine. The unit utilizes the water you use to take a shower to then wash your clothes at the same time. Developed by a team of designers from Turkey, Ahmet Burak Aktas, Adem Onalan, Salih Berk Ilhan and Burak Soylemez, it’s a cool concept for the eco-conscious consumer.

Before stepping into the shower, users can simply load the dirty clothes into the washer and select the right program. While taking a shower, the gray water is collected and goes through three filters before it’s used to clean the clothes. The designer also envisions Washit being used in public areas like airports and fitness centers.
