Fashion House Lanvin has collaborated with confectionery company Ladurée for a special edition box of macaroons. Lanvin’s creative director Alber Elbaz designed the collection, sketching whimsical and playful images of women atop each box. The collectible boxes are finished with a red grosgrain ribbon and contain eight multi-colored, bubblegum flavored macaroons. Elbaz created the brand new flavor with the help of Ladureé’s head pastry chef, Vincent Lemains.
The fashion house speaks to the fashion-forward, ‘sweet’ collaboration:
The Lanvin creations of Alber Elbaz not only make women beautiful, but also prove that sweets and beauty can go hand in hand. They say that a delectable air of childhood surrounds those with a soft spot for sweets; this playful aura still follows Mr Elbaz, despite his role as a prominent couturier today.
The Lanvin for Ladurée macaroons are due to go on sale in France on September 25th (just in time for Paris Fashion Week) followed by the UK, the U.S. and Japan.
