The planned Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida is part of a collaboration between Porsche Design Group and local developer Gil Dezer. The condominium complex has glass elevators that enable residents to enjoy the ocean view as they ride up in their car to their apartment. They pull over, turn off their engine, and a robotic arm scoops up their car and puts it into the elevator. After they’ve reached their floor, which should take 45-90 seconds, the robotic arm parks the car and leaves the resident almost at their front door.
The 57-story luxury tower will have 132 units and 284 robotic parking spaces. There will be three elevators and residents will be able to see their cars from their living rooms. Dezer has said he hopes many other buildings in the U.S. and around the the world will be constructed following the Porsche Design Tower model.
