Serenity is a tool with e-ink that tracks information about your house like temperature, lighting, sound, and energy usage.
Serenity is a home automation system by Artefact that uses sensors to track information such as temperature, lighting, sound, energy consumption, and airflow. It then displays this in a colorful infographic format on the e-ink display, like artwork on the wall. The “home OS with a heart” can change its function by proximity or user action, and every piece of data you see is touchable and relevant to the tablet’s current location. Serenity recently received the Red Dot award for design concept.
The visual experience presents status data, menus, and controls as art and/or elements that are visually pleasing to look at and ask to be displayed and enjoyed rather than hidden. Controls are kept minimal to connect with the architecture and please the eye. Context is provided by both descriptive menu systems and the device’s location within the home.
