IKEA Now is a new free app developed by the District Nerds team in just four weeks. The app lets you see how furniture items from IKEA will look before you buy them by placing 3D models in your home to see dimensions, style fit, etc.

IKEA Now offers the ability to take a photo and read more IKEA product information. Business Insider reports that while you aim your smartphone camera at a certain place within your home, you can pick an item from the app’s catalog and “insert” the augmented reality image.

The basic initial version of the app features 50 of the most popular pieces of furniture to choose from and the team are working to add more very soon. They also plan to include more features like horizontal orientation, social media sharing, shopping list creator, and an Android version.
