Samsung has showcased a Smart TV fitness app that aims to make using an exercise bike more fun at CES. The ‘Interactive Bike Game’ helps you burn a few calories as you play along.

This demonstration follows the earlier announcement that video game accessories company Bigben Interactive was developing a Samsung Smart TV app compatible with its flagship ‘Cyberbike’ accessory.

The fitness app is designed to help users combine exercise and entertainment on the advanced next-generation TVs. It will allow users to use the wirelessly-connected Cyberbike to enjoy simulated races or rides from the comfort of their own home. Alain Falc, CEO of Bigben Interactive, said:

We are delighted to join forces with Samsung, who continue to pioneer new ways for consumers to enjoy and interact with their Smart TVs. These applications, which are directly integrated in the televisions and are designed to be either useful, or for leisure, today constitute an emerging market and one we aim to invest in. This is most certainly one of the future blueprints for the video game industry, even more so for fitness and well-being related products.
