#StartupLab is a free virtual mentorship program available through the popular social network.
#StartupLab is a free virtual mentorship program available through Facebook that connects budding entrepreneurs with the founders of successful startups for advice and learning. The Citi sponsored application, which was started by the Young Entrepreneurial Council, drew in 800,000 aspiring entrepreneurs in 2012 that were able to receive access to how-to articles, ebooks and videos and were invited to interact with startup founders via live video chats, which average and engagement time of 33 minutes per chat.
Weekly email lessons supplemented the Facebook material with reinforced learning and advice. By rooting entrepreneurial learning in real world experiences, the startup career path becomes a little less risky learning path.
