Music festival attendees at Oppikoppi in South Africa, which takes place in August, will be served beer by drones. The technology, built by Darkwing Aerials, will enable the festival-goers to place an order using a mobile app and have a beer delivered to their location.

The beer drone will drop off beers to the District 9 campsite, releasing them from the sky with a parachute attached so they float down to their recipient. OppiKoppi organizers say that the beer drone is hand guided at the moment but will eventually fly on a GPS grid.
