Wallpeople is an urban art collective based in Barcelona that brings people together to make street art on empty walls. The movement aims to create a unique work that is made by all, in order to return art to the streets and reclaim public spaces.

It has spread to over 40 participating countries worldwide. This month, the Wallpeople 2013 edition saw thousands of people around the world transform blank city walls into open-air galleries, around the theme of  ‘music.’

Global Urban Art Collective Collaborates On Walls Of Street Art [Video]

People were encouraged to reinterpret a song in different artistic formats, like illustration, photography, text, painting, collage, canvas, etc. Or they could create any work related to music in general, like a tribute to an artist, a concert, a musical moment of their life, their favourite style, or musical origins.
