RustyBrick, a company founded by brothers Barry and Ronnie Schwartz, has a number of apps aimed at the Jewish market.Their latest, JewGlass, is a Google Glass app that aims to “fundamentally change the way Jews think about observing Judaism.”
JewGlass sends relevant, geo-based notifications based on the user’s preferences directly into their line of vision. These include prayer times, synagogue locations, prayer tips, and Shabbat start or end time reminders. Kosher restaurant information could also be provided at meal times, with directions to nearby eateries, menus and contact details. RustyBrick writes:
This is just the beginning of what JewGlass will touch on. Our goal is to make Jewish way of life as efficient as possible by providing these heads-up snippets of information to you – only when you need it.
