City Of Boston Crowdsources Hold Music To Make It Better

Soon residents can rock out with local musicians as they wait on the line.

Being on hold with local government is the worst. The City of Boston would kindly like to make this experience less awful for its residents through its choice of hold music, showcasing homegrown Bostonian talent.

From now until December 2, musicians or groups may submit a track for consideration in the upcoming “transfer music playlist.” Links to tracks may be shared with city officials via Twitter with #BOStunes or Facebook message. At least one Boston resident must have helped create each profanity-free track to qualify for consideration.
