Carmaker Acura promoted the surprise cameo appearance of the Acura NSX prototype in comedian Jerry Seinfeld’s new web series Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee by turning their Twitter timeline into a flipbook animation.
Acura tweeted 150 custom illustrations one after the other to fans of the show. When viewed sequentially, the illustrations create a quick animation featuring the NSX model.
The flipbook-animation tweets presented a creative way for brands and businesses to go beyond status updates when using the social networking service for promotions or marketing gimmicks.
