Quirky and GE have developed a smart window air conditioner called Aros, which can be controlled from a mobile device and helps owners save on costs.

The appliance is one of the latest devices to come out of the Quirky + GE brand WINK, a line of wifi-enabled devices.

Aros works with the WINK app. It tracks the owner’s usage so they can specifically adjust settings to save on energy costs. The device also learns the owner’s patterns, schedule, and temperature preferences, so it turns on only when needed.

Aros can be pre-ordered on Amazon and will ship May 2014.
