Shrink-wrapped models distract attendees from even the most extravagant runway fashion.

Iris Van Herpen is already know for her 3D-printed fashion designs, but she has once again succeeded in capturing our attention during Fashion Week thanks to a selection of hermetically-sealed models that made an appearance at her last show. The French designer was so successful in fact, that many attendees were unable to focus on the actual designs being paraded down the catwalk.

Many were concerned that the models wouldn’t be able to breathe within their plastic prisons, but tubes which fed into the giant sandwich bags seemed to provide a source of oxygen.

There were also questions about comfort, but based on the Internet’s reactions, it seems a slight amount of discomfort was worth the publicity.
