Terrible Kickstarter campaigns portrayed perfectly by Vooza.

Kickstarter and Indiegogo are both platforms that have given life to some amazing ideas, which might otherwise not have had a chance. The only problem is that there are plenty of terrible projects on there as well. Vooza, a weekly video comic strip about the startup world, sums it up perfectly in the video below.

It’s probably worth noting that this particular video focuses its attack squarely on the arts, which is all well and good in the name of humor. But, it’s also important to remember there are are an equally awful number of tech projects that claim to be the next big thing. False promises wrapped in above-average marketing is a trick that works across all industries.

Don’t let the video deter you too much, there are still some great projects coming out of both Kickstarter and Indiegogo. If you don’t enjoy sifting through the onslaught of new ideas, just remember that PSFK can help point you in the right direction from time to time.
