Animal Lovers Can Now Download App Dedicated to Animal News

Website The Dodo has released an iOS and Android app after finding the majority of its traffic comes from mobile users

The Dodo is a website dedicated to providing the latest animal news, stories and videos every day. It celebrates and appreciates animals while raising awareness about their welfare. The Dodo believes that people are increasingly committed to learning about animals, improving relationships with them and protecting them. The website channels this growing compassion by covering the most important and fascinating stories including photos, videos, Vines, and gifs.

Consumers are now consuming a significant proportion of content on their mobile devices and The Dodo found that over 64% of their traffic comes from mobile users. So they turned to their friends at RebelMouse to create an app. With Rebel Roar, brands and media companies can deliver content experiences in the form of a branded native app for iOS and Android devices.

The Dodo mobile app brings all the news, editorials and videos straight to the pockets of animal lovers everywhere. It enables users to sign in to the community, create posts and upload media on the go, and interact with news from the staff and community. They can get involved by contributing their own opinions and following what other animal lovers are talking about, advocating for, or protesting.


Those who download the app (which is available for iOS and Android) can get the most important animal news at their fingertips. They can read all the latest stories by the team of journalists and science writers, watch footage of animals in their element, and become part of the conversation by creating community posts straight from the mobile post editor.
