Put out by G-Star, Battle for Big Blue is a free mobile app that aims to educate users on the plastic pollution that's strangling sea life

A new mobile game has been released based on G-Star's RAW for the Oceans project, which recycles ocean plastic into G-Star collections co-designed by Pharrell Williams. Battle for Big Blue aims to be both educational and fun, raising awareness of the plastic pollution problem in our oceans while providing an enjoyable distraction.

RAW for the Oceans is part of G-Star's larger sustainability strategy to reduce the environmental impact of its products. The project aims to highlight the issue of plastic pollution and inspire others to help combat it. Through the special denim collection, the company retrieves and upcycles the plastic that washes up onto shorelines, collaborating with Bionic Yarn to engineer the yarns and Parley to co-ordinate ocean cleanups and research.
