Customers are offered a glimpse into the future of shopping through a pair of VR goggles

Online marketplace eBay partnered with Australian retailer Myer to create the world's first virtual department store.

They are offering 15,000 shopticals (specially designed virtual reality viewers) free of charge for customers to start their VR shopping experience.

Owners of shopticals can download the eBay VR Department Store app on their smartphone and then insert it into the device to get started. They can personalize the store by selecting areas of interest, browse using eBay Sight Search by holding their gaze on products, lock their eyes on information icons to receive full details (including product specifications, price, availability and shipping info), and hold their eyes on the ‘Add to Basket’ icon to complete purchases via the eBay app.
