Check out your room before you check in to the hotel

If you ever tried to book family holidays, you have probably scrolled through endless photos of turquoise pools that seem to be of Olympic size, just to be faced with a tiny pond once you arrive in the lobby. However, now if you want to book your stay at Best Western you can teleport yourself directly into the hotel using virtual reality.

Starting this summer, all 2,200 of Best Western’s North American locations will offer 360-degree tours featuring the rooms, lobbies and other amenities. This offer is a product of three years of development and a partnership with Google Street View which helped gather 1.7 million photos of all the hotels. The experiences will be available on Google Maps, Google Search, YouTube and Facebook.
