Boost Mobile Will Turn Its Stores Into Polling Places For Election Day
The wireless service provider also opened a petition on change.com advocating for equal voting rights
The wireless service provider Boost Mobile has announced that it will convert its retail stores into public polling places on U.S. Election Day, November 8th. Boost Mobile and its marketing agency 180LA were inspired to take action based on the unfair disadvantages lower class and minority voters experience due to lack of both resources and polling locations.
The nationwide initiative was launched with the premiere of the “Boost Your Voice” video, which documents the obstacles these voters overcome in order to cast their vote. The company will open polling places in 817 county boards across the country while its own employees will volunteer as Election Day poll workers. Boost Mobile also opened a petition on change.com.
