The first driverless cars are expected to hit the market in the next few years. Several car companies, including Google and Tesla, believe they’ve already built a safe autonomous vehicle, but they have several years worth of testing and tweaking ahead of them to make it perfect. As part of the effort to build self-driving vehicles, car companies have created more advanced computer systems for the vehicle cockpits. These systems are making their way into the newest vehicle models that are not yet equipped with the auto-pilot function, which makes it much more difficult for the driver to pay attention to the road.
