Rescue teams can directly link to the drone in order to learn more information about the crisis area such as an earthquake or a landslide that will alter the landscape. The drone stays attached to the vehicle using magnetic retention technology which allows the drone to land on the roof.

Additionally, the trunk contains a variety slots for equipment storage, power supply units for devices from multiple regions and a removable sliding door which operates as a makeshift staging area.

Project Hero will get housed at the Austrian Red Cross in Erzberg and Vienna for 12 months starting in June 2017.
