The group launched a new application for fans to explore the house the band lives in, which will serve to debut their new album for those who have it downloaded

The virtual band, Gorillaz, have kept busy before their next album releases on April 28, called Humanz. The band announced earlier this month about the Spirit Houses project, which PSFK covered, and now fans can download a mobile application that uses augmented reality for them to explore the band's house and previous studio, Kong Studios.

When a user downloads the application, they must observe their surroundings using their smartphone's camera. When they see an object from the band's music videos they click on it to get transported into the Gorillaz house. From there, they can freely explore and examine the band's objects to learn more about them and what they do with their free time. Those who have the application downloaded on April 28 will receive an exclusive invitation to take part in listening to the band through their phone in a virtual house party.

The Gorillaz application is available on Android and iOS.
