The brewery says its concoction includes ingredients that can relieve uncomfortable symptoms of menopause

New Hampshire-based Portsmouth Brewery has unveiled a new beer geared toward a very specific segment of the population: menopausal women. The brew, called Libeeration, includes ingredients such as lemon balm and chamomile that may improve uncomfortable symptoms women often suffer from during menopause.

“After consulting with women health practitioners and herbalists, our team came up with ingredients believed to relieve symptoms like sleeplessness, hot flashes, and mood swings,” Joanne Francis, co-owner of the brewery, told The Drinks Business.

Portsmouth Brewery hopes Libeeration will succeed in reaching a subset of the market that is often overlooked.
