Hexatope lets people manipulate a hexagonal grid to create their own unique pieces

Hexatope, a design system from London-based designer Charlotte Dann, allows users to create their own unique piece of pendant jewelry by interacting with a hexagonal grid. The design they create will then be 3D printed in sterling silver or with 18-carat gold plating.

The idea is to give customers more control over the look of their jewelry, making the process more personal than picking out an already completed item. Dann is currently only offering pendants, but she plans to expand Hexatope’s capabilities to include rings, earrings, pins and potentially print materials next year.

The project is currently crowdfunding on Kickstarter, where it has raised just over $5,000 of its $20,000 goal.
