Pet retailer PetSmart has opened a new store concept that exclusively focuses on pet grooming services. The Groomery, which initially launches in New York City’s Upper West Side and Oak Park, Illinois, before expanding to additional locations, is a salon-style store with 1,800-2,500 square feet of space.
The Groomery features pet grooming services such as baths, brushes, haircuts, blow-outs, nail trims and grinds, teeth brushings, paw maintenance, flea and tick treatments, and a de-shedding Furminator service. It also offers pampering “Spaw” treatments, pet-specific deep moisture shampoos and conditioners, and a self-service dog wash.
