The fashion brand commissioned 10 artists to redesign the Lady Dior bag with their work

Dior commissioned 10 artists to contribute designs for the brand's iconic Lady Dior handbag for a project called Lady Art. The artists involved in the project were invited to creatively change the handbag however they saw fit, from handbag's overall size to the fabric. Many of the finished products incorporate elaborate paintings and collages, with one design by Lee Bul covering the bag with shards of mirrors and one by Namsa Leuba made of fur reminiscent of an exotic multi-colored animal.

Dior listed all of the artists involved and their corresponding handbags on the Lady Art project page. The Lady Art project first began last year with a collection from 10 different British and American artists.
