HBO placed the props on top of steam vents in New York City to promote the new season of High Maintenance

HBO took to the streets of New York City and fashioned a number of steam vents to look like giant marijuana joints to promote the second season of High Maintenance. The side of each one advertising the show and air time along with HBO's logo.

HBO held the promotion in three locations: Union Square and the Meatpacking District in Manhattan, and Williamsburg in Brooklyn. Promoters at these locations were handing out small baggies containing lighters branded with the show's name.

The promotion took place on January 19, the day of the new season's premiere.
