The ‘smart appliance’ has taken on many forms, from entertainment consoles to microwaves. Kohler now wants to bring this state-of-the-art technology into the bathroom with its new product, the Numi Toilet.

This “intelligent toilet” does everything from flushing and closing automatically to playing your favorite music while you occupy the bathroom. It has Bluetooth and wireless capabilities, and is able to connect to virtual assistants like Alexa or Siri. The user can personalize the toilet to any specific settings so that it functions the same every time they use it.

The Numi was featured at last month’s CES 2018 and is expected to go on sale later this year with a price tag of $6,000.
