Blast is a tool that integrates with video games to help players build up 'micro-savings' through in-game achievements like beating a level or climbing a leaderboard

Blast is a newly developed micro-savings tool that integrates with games to turn achievements and in-game purchases into an opportunity for people to start building up a savings account. The tool is made to eventually work with most games, from hits like League of Legends to mobile games like Candy Crush.

The platform does this by creating a wallet where people can store their digital money. They can then set “trigger savings,” which make deposits when the player does things such as complete a mission on the game, unlock certain achievements or climb a weekly leaderboard.

Micro-savings have been growing in popularity, as it can make a big difference for people over time by rounding up purchases to transfer small amounts of money into a savings account. With Blast, the developers are trying to bring this habit to gamers, and help them become more financially independent.
