Passengers will soon enjoy business class seating with an 18-inch screen and a "Do Not Disturb" mode

For its new Boeing Dreamliner 787-10, KLM has announced that it will be the first customer of JAMCO's Venture business class seats. These seats are lighter than others on the market and include 18.5″ entertainment screens, and they even have a “Do Not Disturb” mode that passengers can activate at will.

Unlike its other products, JAMCO's innovative production techniques created seats that aren't only lighter but are also made of 45% fewer parts. Featherweight interiors are important for the 787-10. Made mainly of composite materials, the long-haul planes lighter and are expected to be a fifth more efficient than its direct predecessor, the 767.

The seats are arranged in a herringbone pattern and there will be 38 of them in each plane. The unique layout provides aisle access for every business-class passenger. Custom configurations for KLM will be designed with Hella Jongerius.
