She Roams Solo is a community where members can connect with one another and trade tips and experiences, with the aim of empowering women to travel alone

A service aimed at women, She Roams Solo, wants to take the fear out of traveling alone as a female. The concept taps into a growing market, and we have seen other variations of travel brands addressing female empowerment, such as Behere, which exclusively helps women work remotely in locations around the world. The She Roams Solo platform, however, isn’t about professional life, but about making any solo trip a pleasant experience. Women traveling alone have a different set of questions than their male counterparts, and often refrain from doing so out of fear for their safety.

She Roams Solo is a community where members can connect with one another, trade tips and experiences, ask questions and share their stories. It’s also a way to meet up with other women who are traveling or going to the same places as you. This social network model could also allow for new jobs in the future, with a vision of paying women for their stories and hiring remote writers that fit into the brand. Membership is currently free, but as it keeps expanding its services to offer giveaways, rewards and special discounts, joining the network will require a fee.

Currently She Roams Solo includes a blog that any member can peruse and contribute to, personal profiles with pictures, a forum, a chatroom and a community board, which is basically like a newsfeed, allowing members to see status updates, questions posted in forums and photos in real time. The community currently has 1,436 members and counting.
