Food Delivery Services Add Bill-Splitting
Food delivery service Grubhub, which owns Seamless and Eat24, has partnered with money-sending app Venmo to make group orders easier than ever
Ordering takeout is easy, but splitting the bill with your friends or coworkers is not, especially when it’s a large order. Delivery service Grubhub is looking to help hungry groups get what they’re craving and make paying easier by partnering with popular money-sending app Venmo.
In order to use the new service, the user must have both Grubhub and Venmo installed on their smartphone. It lets the person ordering send their friends Venmo requests to get the money they owe for the order, though you will still need a credit card to pay for the food through Grubhub. The feature is now available for the majority of its users to take advantage of. If you use Seamless or Eat24 to get your grub on the go, the service is also available on those apps, as Grubhub owns both of them. Hopefully, this new feature can make getting takeout a sweeter experience.
