Brazil's Skol Beats made a beer bottle-shaped speaker that doles out event suggestions, drink recipes and playlist tips by voice command

Brazilian beer company Skol Beats is marketing the brand's ability to start a party with its own connected speaker. Shaped like beer bottles, the Smart Beats speakers are equipped with voice control that lets users look up drink recipes, send invitations to friends and compile playlists of music.

The idea is an Alexa-type assistant with the very specific aim of planning parties. Smart Beats is also able to recommend local events and request Ubers for going out, or order beer for home gatherings.

These limited edition speakers are currently only available in Brazil by entering a competition. Skol created the product with creative agency Wieden+Kennedy São Paulo and production company MediaMonks.
