Select Walmart locations are incorporating arenas from an esports facility provider for fans to convene and game, offering league nights on weekdays and tournaments on the weekends
Esports have become wildly popular across America and gamers are always looking for places to compete against other players. Walmart is looking to cater to this audience, launching its own in-store facilities from Esports Arenas in 5 locations.
Each of the arenas will be outfitted with Esports-branded Overpowered gaming PCs. In addition, players will sit in comfortable gaming chairs and have the latest technology in front of them. The facilities will feature daily competitions as well as large-scale tournaments.
Esports Arena CEO Tyler Endres explains the partnership: “Walmart’s incredible reach allows us to bring the esports experience to a much broader audience, and expand at a much faster rate.” The initial stores featuring Esports Arenas will be in Roseville, CA, Spokane Valley, WA, Colorado Springs, CO and two undisclosed locations.
