With Take-off Tips, travelers can connect with locals at their destination airport, letting them exchange info and advice via real-time conversation as they wait to board

Dutch airline KLM is aiming to keep travelers entertained, connected and informed in an innovative way: In KLM terminals in Oslo, Amsterdam and Rio De Janeiro, passengers waiting to board will be able to participate in Take-off Tips, an interactive booth that connects customers via hologram.

Made in partnership with creative agency DDB Unlimited, the activation is intended to connect travelers with those departing at their destination, so they can exchange travel tips and advice on customs and the area in general. Using advanced face-scanning and holographic projection technology, the booths are designed to combine social engagement with practical information that gives travelers a way to make boarding less boring.

Take-off Tips is another step in KLM's mission to be a leader in customer service, taking proactive measures to solve problems before they arise, like prepping people for their destination before they even depart. The brand is promoting the activation through a video on social media.
