A report by the Pew Internet & American Life Project has revealed that 53 million American adults have instant messaged, and that more than 12 million use IM programs more frequently than e-mail.

“French marketing company Heaven is planning to capitalize on [the IM] trend by introducing MSN Cards in France. The cards are printed with one’s screen name and users can hand them out like business cards. The initial launch of 900 decks reportedly sold out in two hours.”
