We like promotions that really tap into current culture. Brands that fail to connect, just make landfill with their advertising. How’s this for a crafty little promotion: Super popular group-selects-a-design tee site, Threadless.com has hooked up with Google to create a special promotion for Gmail called ‘Connect’. The winning designer receives an iPhone, a Jawbone BlueTooth Headset and lots of other stuff. (Although, shouldn’t they have waited for the Google Phone??). In an email that was campaign organizer Edina from Brandpimps told us:

Designs are submitted through August 16th and voted on until the 23rd, at which point the top designs will be voted on by the Threadless team along with a representative from Gmail. You can expect this latest collaboration to drop around the second week of September, so be on the look out!
