VoIP on Your Nintendo DS
Move over, iPhone: the Nintendo DS - which already comes equipped with dual touch screens, gaming capabilities and built-in wifi - can now serve as your back-up cell phone, too. A hacker known as “samuelv” has developed a piece of software that allows you to make free phone calls directly from your DS via VoIP. According to Engadget, users are already busy trying out the application and working out the kinks. For an affordable, portable gaming device ($130 at most stores), the DS has a surprising bevy of functions (see the Engadget link for additional hacks to the device). We’ll keep you updated here with developments.
