Twitter As Art
Jenny Holzer has spent a much of her lifetime using text in her art. She often uses it in public spaces such as street posters, plaques and projected onto buildings but recently she’s been applying her art to a different but yet very public medium: Twitter. Her infrequently updated Twitter feeds broadcasts messages such as ‘ GUILT AND SELF-LACERATION ARE INDULGENCES, IT IS HEROIC TO TRY TO STOP TIME’ and our favorite THE FUTURE IS STUPID.
