South African brand Love Jozi (‘Jozi’ is a nickname for Johannesburg) creates a stylish line of t-shirts that combines urban fashion with social consciousness. The current range deals with some delicate issues. Xenophobic violence resulting in a re-emergence of crime, poverty, ambivalence, uncertainty, and then, hope. The three year old company finds inspiration from local voices of optimism and the excitement about Johannesburg’s rise on the world stage of cities.
