We got a little package from Pepsi today showing off their new can. But, what we liked best were all the other cans they sent along showing the evolution of the logo.
Pretty cool. I just wonder how much good such a design will do for them. They are already among the most recognizable brands in the world. Still, I like it. Thanks for the post.
Sometimes in our careers we come across designs like this and we wonder how an earth anyone allowed such a brand to make such an error? It looks like an airline or spa identity!
I was in a Kroger Grocery store today and they had the new Pepsi packaging. It simply jumped off the shelf. The 2 liter was my favorite. Looked amazing against all the clutter. Great Job!
the new cans they just put out are ugly, why spoile a good thig the 70’s annd 80’s desighn was the best and makeing it with real sugar and no corn syrup is the best way ,you don’t need to keep changeing a product when you made it perfect the first time.
WOW! This is BY FAR one of the worst logos I have ever seen. Considering that this is one of the world’s largest corporations, they REALLY should know better. Awful, really awful…
The symbol is TERRIBLE and the type is worse. It’s sterile and flat and boring and not at all dynamic.
I wonder what this re-branding campaign cost them…
When I first saw this bottle, I immediately thought it was a fake. I spent the next minute looking for the “real” pepsi bottle - all the while thinking what balls by this phony company has to copy pepsi so boldly, even use the same name. After my futile search, I decided to “read” the label fine print, and shockingly found out it was a real Pepsi!
I always liked Pepsi’s branding. It stood out, it was simple, easily recognizable the world over. Coke on the other hand, had to write the whole word, and had those silly polar bears drinking soda. Pepsi had the logo, nothing else was needed, everybody knew what it was - no words required.
Now it looks like I “tried” to draw the Pepsi logo in kindergarten. Not good at all.
Wow, what’s most amazing about this series of cans is how close the original Pepsi logo was to the Coco-Cola logo! Great overview :-)
