On Nov. 22, Virgin America will be unveiling their much-anticipated in-flight Gogo internet service on a special beta flight above San Francisco. To build some buzz around the launch, they’ve partnered with YouTube to offer the “first-ever live, air-to-ground video-stream” which will broadcast to an estimated 20 million viewers online, as well as a sea of onlookers at the YouTube Live event in San Francisco.
Starting in late November, Virgin will continue rolling out the Gogo service on more flights (one plane a week), making it the first US carrier to offer fleet-wide wifi by the second quarter of 2009.
