Choose Your Ads On Hulu

We’ve noticed a new set of options on Hulu while watching ’24′. Before the episode starts, there’s an option to choose between watching a movie trailer in exchange for a commercial free experience, or continue with your normal set of commercial breaks.

We opted for the two minute movie trailer of Taken – which, in our opinion, is undoubtedly more enjoyable than watching four, irrelevant, thirty-second ads. Either way, by giving the viewer choice in the inevitable ad segment improves his experience while also potentially removing commercial interruptions during the program.

If you add the Netflix Prize into the equation, you’ve got an interesting set of suggested ads based on what shows users have watched before.
