Twitter, though useful, has become fraught with deafening levels of hype, spam-like fake followers, and many “get a lot of followers quickly” schemes.

Enter TidyTweet, a Twitter filter by Rockfish Interactive (now in private beta testing) that can help manage your feed, and keep out spam, profanity and disingenuous followers.

Features include a customized word filter to keep embarrassing or unsavory posts at bay, a filter for posts with multiple trending topics, and an embeddable widget that helps you keep an eye on how your feed is holding up.

  1. It would be great if they included a filter that blocked anyone retweeting Mashable. Also, a Bayesian filter to guess the subject (TV, Sports, Politics, Disaster News) would be nice.
